We have always been in favour of enhancing teaching skills at the university level and have come to understand that the learning process is an integral part. We find this teaching and learning initiative to be an exciting challenge.

The Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning is a building and a community for "strengthening teaching and learning communities, cultures and practices at the University of Calgary".

  • Flexible learning spaces allow rearrangement of furniture, walls, and seating.
  • Transparent design to facilitate observation and learning.
  • 89% of construction, demolition and land-clearing waste was diverted from landfill.
  • Native soils were preserved through an erosion and sedimentation control plan.
