Katthy Taylor Chair
in Vascular Dementia

Hotchkiss Brain Institute - Katthy Taylor Chair in Vascular Dementia

My family is committed to this chair because we believe that research opens the door to the understanding and treatment of vascular dementia. Ultimately we hope other families will be spared from this enduring, diffcult disease.

- David Taylor

A donation from The Taylor Family Foundation funded the creation of a new research chair at the University of Calgary for Vascular Dementia in honour of Katthy Taylor.

Katthy, her mother, and her grandmother all struggled with Vascular Dementia a condition that many Canadians suffer from.

Dr. Eric Smtih was named the first Katthy Taylor Chair in Vascular Dementia. Dr. Smith planned to research ways to treat and prevent the disease before it can devastate families.
