Funding for a new state of the art, two story NICU at Foothills Medical Centre that will care for the most critical newborns and their families.

The fully funded "Calgary Health Foundation's Newborns Need" campaign will expand the existing 38 bed NICU into a 58 bed facility with enhanced care standards, including rooms where postpartum parent and baby stay together, family rooms, and a Family Integrated Care program, which helps the new parents transition home.

This campaign also funds research into the abnormally high rate of pre-term births and NICU admissions in Southern Calgary.
